How was it for us?
Elsie:
I really enjoyed this year from about May. After some behind-the-scenes
changes, we managed to get so many more posts out and writing them felt a lot
less stressful. I also really enjoyed the experience of having a guest blogger
(click
here). My favourite posts to write were the
Pride Month
post and the 'how trees communicate' post. They both required quite a bit of background research, which was fun
and interesting.
Freya:
Although I haven't written on here as much as I was hoping this year, I have
loved still being a part of this blog and the community around it. I've learnt
so much through writing and reading posts, and it has been a very eye-opening
experience for me, as some of the topics I had very little prior knowledge on.
My favourite post to write was about how I made my own t-shirt yarn, as it was so interesting to see my two passions of caring for the
environment and knitting and crocheting combine.
MK:
I am really happy I could be part of this blog. The people writing it are
truly special and care so much about the future of this earth. I enjoyed
writing for you and seeing the blog views rise. My favourite post to read was
probably the paper industry one and I really enjoyed writing the endangered animals series. Unfortunately, I will not be continuing to write here next
year because life is going wild, but I will keep following it. The others will
continue the endangered animals series for me, I really enjoyed writing the
first three posts on it, hopefully, you liked them.
I read a definition of the word sun in a very old dictionary the other day,
Sun; a fountain of light.
Stay strong guys, and don't ever stop fighting for what is right, I won't
either.
Goodbye, MK
Zoƫ:
I have really enjoyed writing on the blog, especially in the earlier part of
the year. I've especially enjoyed writing my Green Pets series as it's
something I'm so passionate about (and I love my house plants a little too
much!). My favourite of the Green Pets posts was
"Green Pets: so I almost killed Mr darcy...| how to keep the faith when
caring for your plants". I also really loved getting to know my fellow blog editors better so thank
you for all being so awesome! Next year, I hope to write more discussion posts
and continue making lots of graphics!!
Important info for 2023
We will still be posting every Saturday.
We also have three new series starting this year:
Monthly quiz
The Top Tips Vote has come to an end. The new series is a monthly quiz. Hope
you enjoy it.
Energy comparison
There are so many different ways to produce electricity, so in this series, we
will dive into as many as possible and decide how good (or bad) each one is
for the environment.
The life of a ...
I miss doing the animal of the week, but it was a bit too much doing it every
week. So this series goes into the life of 10 different animals from around the
globe. If you have any animal suggestions, then you can
get in touch with us
or write them in the comments. I would love to cover the animals that you
actually want to hear about.
Older series including inspirational people,
green pets and
10 Endangered Animals, will continue into 2023.
We look forward to seeing you next week with the first quiz.
